ricochet and cowRicochetricochet

Ricochet was also rescued in November 2008. Is curious but cautious of people. He is coming along very well and is filling out nicely. AnArabian/QH gelding. He is 2yrs old and started under saddle. Obviously has no issue with things hanging around him. I made the picture this way, its not bad training!

Update: Ricochet is now training under saddle. Seemingly enjoys his time working!

gunnergunner in fieldgunner grasshappy

Gunner was rescued November 17th 2009 along with 3 other horses. He is 5 months old in these pictures-not that he looks his age-severly dehydrated and malnourished. He had no mother to protect him or nurse from since about 2-3 months of age, and no extra food to keep him going. When Lost Path Stables showed up to a group of concerned horse lovers he couldnt stand anymore.
He is now a yearling and is doing very well. Gunner enjoys his time in the pasture with the other horses and eating all he can. As a long yearling Gunner is ready to be gelded. We found out this spring he will have some kidney problems and must be fed a high protein diet for ther rest of his life. From being starved Gunner will have this liver issue forever.

Gunner is not available for adoption at this time.

Adopted-Thank you Tiffany!

finessefinesse 2

Finesse is a two year old Thoroughbred Filly who was abondoned here with her sister Fantasia. They had No handleing before coming to Lost Path Stables and have since been saddled bridled and lunged. She seems to enjoy the work and attention but really needs someone to spend hourse of loveing on her. Finesse has proven to be quite the jumper in the round pen over cavaletti, and up to 3 feet free jumping. Her name comes from the great frame and stretch she has when she moves out. Finesse would make a wonderful Dressage horse, or would turn out as a Eventing horse as she has a great scope while jumping.
More pictures to come soon of what she looks like today. She is still gaining weight and was treated for sever worms and a hind leg injury. (injury will not affect show carrer)

Adoption Fee: $1,000
